somehow I am afraid of investing in ef-m lenses, because I am not sure if Cannon will continue to support it, or create an aps-c rf mount. there are a lot of rumors about it. Sony got it right when they created their aps-c mirrorless.

Please Viltrox! Make your Canon lenses black! You loose so many customers!

Gerd Kamer. Thank you very much for your video. Yesterday, I got my new EOS M50 Mark II (till now I used Panasonic equipment) and I’ve found many informations and hints for that camera from your video. However, I’ve a question concerning old lenses, used on an EOS Rebel camera, bought 1989 in LA for my son. Is there an adapter available on the market and if so which type is it, to mount my old lenses 35-80 mm and 100-200mm to the M50? Thank you in advance for your reply.

Do a video on the manual lenses and how you shoot with them, like the Rokinon 12mm f2, on the street, landscape, portrait, and astro. Would be a good video, that could be useful with manual mode on autofocus lenses as well.

hi… what do you think about M50 with canon 70-200 F4 ? have you try it ? i need some information

  16. Dave Pearce on October 9, 2021 at 9:12 am

The Rokinon 12mm f.2 footage all have distortion. Quite the opposite of what you were saying. What am i missing? I LOVE the 32mm f/1.4. This is THE reason i use my M50 way more than thank my 5D4. Not just for its sharpness, but the images have a certain something that the other lenses don’t. Ive got most of the other lenses here, but the 32mm is the one that keeps me with the M50.

Sigma 16mm really unlocks the capabilities on the m50 in low light

  18. Hennie Bester on October 9, 2021 at 9:13 am

Thank you for a very helpful video. On the Viltrox 23mm: it works on my M6 Mk1 but often shuts my M6 Mk2 down. I have updated the firmware on it via the Viltrox website, which was quite a process, but the problem persists. So I am disappointed by that one. I also own the Sigma 30mm and 56mm f1.4 which I bought as a set with the 16mm on discount. They are on par with the 16mm, viz superb. The 56mm takes absolutely marvelous portraits, and the 30mm killed my yearning for the Canon 32mm.

Happy to see the last lens was my baby 🙂 Had it for the 70D and now on my M6 mk2. This vid confirmed what I now want for distance. The 55-200. Thanks Mark!

Do you prefer the EF-M 55-200mm or the EF-M 18-150mm F/3.5-6.3 IS STM Lens that comes with the M6 mark ii? Is it worth the upgrade? I haven’t been able to find much comparing the two.

  25. The Mental Health Toolbox on October 9, 2021 at 9:17 am

Fantastic review! Love my little m50 with the 22mm. When I am ready to upgrade what would recommend? I am primarily doing video podcast on YouTube 🙏 I am your newest subscriber💯

Hello Mark ! I want to buy a budget friendly all around camera and lenses, for like – vlogging, portraits, landscape and other general shots. Which camera and lens do you suggest ? Hope you will reply!

  27. Gabriella Valentine on October 9, 2021 at 9:21 am

So the sigma 16mm does not require a adapter I thought it did that’s why I never bought it

  28. Craig McKernan on October 9, 2021 at 9:25 am

Good video, I never knew some of these lenses existed for EF-M. Would like to see how the 18-150mm holds up against the others in this line-up if you ever get a chance to come across one.

  29. Caelan del'Giudice on October 9, 2021 at 9:27 am

For anyone wondering, this is the exact video you’re looking for when shopping for any lens. Thank you so much!

This video is the Gold Standard for camera reviews. Really appreciate your opinions based on personal experience using the equipment. If I buy a Canon M6 II, I will get the EF-M 18-55 mm lens rather than the kit lens because of your review. ALL your lens evaluations were illuminating. The Helios very intriguing. Look forward to more. I subscribed. Thanks, Mark.

I love my Canon EF-M 55-200mm lens. I use it all the time for my son’s cross country pix.

Does the very first lens you showed fit automatically with the canon m50? It says in the amazon link thats its for sony cameras

  35. Chris Baitson on October 9, 2021 at 9:35 am

Found this really useful. Just picked one up for video for my own channel. Nice to see the lens selection isn’t as small as I thought it was.

  36. Olivier La Buse on October 9, 2021 at 9:38 am

I had very bad copies of 15-45 and 18-150. Really not better (worse ?) than a compact camera like the G5X II. I sold everything.

It is special when a video on youtube is so good you have to keep coming back to watch it over and over again !! Thanks for the content !!

  38. John Gold on October 9, 2021 at 9:40 am

With my M50, I use the Canon 22mm f/2 lens, the Canon 55-200mm and the sigma 56mm f/1,4. It’s a great and light combo.
And sometimes, I use EF lenses on it with a speedbooster.

  39. PHILGOOD PARIS on October 9, 2021 at 9:42 am

Hello and thank you for this very interesting video.
Which do you think is better for eos M6 Mark II = Canon EF-M 32mm f / 1.4 STM or Sigma 56mm f / 1.4 DC DN Canon EF-M mount? In advance thank you for your response.

  43. Peter Reber on October 9, 2021 at 9:46 am

I bought me a M50 mark II with the 180-150mm zoom as the kit lens. This is such a useful range. I didn’t go for the 15-45 and 55-200 kit because from my older days working with prime lenses I know that one always has the wrong lens on the body. Whatever I had on the camera was either just too short or just too long. The 18-150 doesn’t give me such problems. I also bought the 11-22mm because I got it at an excellent price, new at 2/3 of the price.
I am very happy with everything. It is an amazing camera. I especially like the size, low weight and versatility.

  50. Christina Bundy on October 9, 2021 at 9:56 am

New travel lifestyle Vlogger question! Before watching this I assumed a 35mm was what most used to vlog. I love the idea of your love for the 11-22 but also the night views from the viltrox 23 1.4 was beautiful! I have a cannon 50mm 1.4 and the 18-55 kit lens (cannon ) already. For vlogging, would you suggest adding either the 11-22 or Viltrox 23 1.4 to my collection or is what I have sufficient for vlogging? (If to add, please suggest which one of the two) thank you!
